In May, the Guardian team proudly acknowledged the unique contributions of Jacksonville\u2019s nurses to healthcare by gifting beautiful succulents to area nurses in honor of Nurse\u2019s Week. \u201cNurses are so special and render excellent care,\u201d said Georgina Leininger, sales director. \u201cIt was fun to acknowledge their \u2018ex-succulent\u2019 work.\u2019<\/p>\n

Skilled nursing homes were also celebrated during National Nursing Home Week in May.\u00a0 The week-long holiday was established to recognize the essential role of skilled nursing centers in caring for America\u2019s frail, elderly and disabled.\u00a0 To show that they know their customers are the \u201csweetest,\u201d Guardian Jacksonville honored care teams with special sweet treats.<\/p>\n
