These pharmacists specialize in the senior patient \u2013 those ages 55 and older \u2013 and are here to assist with all medication needs and questions.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Our pharmacists are trained to monitor for medication differences when they are filling, checking and delivering prescriptions to assisted living and personal care communities.\u00a0 Pharmacists work continuously to ensure there will be no drug interactions or adverse reactions and to minimize side effects. In the community setting, they also monitor how each resident is reacting to a prescribed medication.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">In addition, our long-term care pharmacists also work with physicians and nurses to recommend appropriate therapy and select the most efficient medication packaging to improve workflow. \u00a0They coordinate between the resident, family members and insurance plan to find a covered medication and start and stop prescription orders when necessary.
