November is National Long-Term Care Awareness Month and it\u2019s also the beginning of the holiday season. We understand that conversations about long-term care can be challenging for families. This awareness month is all about creating a game plan to help better prepare for your family\u2019s long-term care needs.<\/p>\n

Here are three facts to know about Long-Term Care planning*:<\/p>\n

  1. Americans are living longer, in large part due to advances in medical care and public health. Life expectancy in the US for those reaching 65 was 20 years on average in 2019.<\/li>\n
  2. By 2030, one in five residents in the United States will be age 65 or older.<\/li>\n
  3. The number of people in need of long term support services (LTSS) in the United States is already at 14 million and expected to grow to 27 million by 2050.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
