Much has been said about the efforts of our first responders – those on the frontlines serving in hospitals, food banks, fire and police departments across the country during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their courage and commitment during this unprecedented time has truly been inspirational and worthy of great note. But they are not alone.
Less has been said about all of you, the people who selflessly give of yourselves working in our long-term care communities. You are the first responders who quietly go about your jobs every day serving our country’s most vulnerable populations.
As dedicated healthcare providers, you bring light and joy to our seniors in a time that is dark. Most importantly, you strive to keep them safe.
All of us at Guardian Pharmacy Services and our partner pharmacies want to thank you for your perseverance and sacrifice. Just like our pharmacy teams, you go to work every day balancing the needs of your residents and patients with concerns for your own families and friends. Yet, you put yourselves on the frontlines, tirelessly advocating for the seniors who depend on you. Always important, your work has become even more critical to the health of those you serve as a result of this pandemic. We are awed by your efforts.
To those with whom we work, your partnership with our teams is greatly appreciated as we navigate this critical situation. Working together, we have established improved processes and programs that protect your residents and ensure they continue to receive their medications.
We have watched in admiration as you have adapted to the everchanging environment, succeeding in these uncharted waters where many would not. You have implemented change to keep your residents safe while still striving everyday to make their lives just a little better.
So, to all of our healthcare workers across the U.S. and their families, and especially all who are working in long-term care communities, we thank you. You are our everyday superheroes. We are humbled and proud to work alongside you each and every day.
Know that we are here to support you. We are all in this together and will come out stronger on the other side.
