Larger Facility Helps Long-Term Care Pharmacy Better Serve Residents in Texas
After doubling its business in the past year and a half, Guardian Pharmacy of Dallas-Fort Worth recently relocated its headquarters to a larger facility in Arlington. The new state-of-the-art building allows the long-term care (LTC) pharmacy to increase its workforce and operations to better serve residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, independent living; and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities all across Texas.
The pharmacy, which joined Guardian in 2019, anticipates more client growth and plans to hire additional employees.
“As we look to expand our operations to better serve our customers and keep pace with growing demand, we felt the timing was right to upgrade our facility,” said Kyle Simmons, Pharm.D., co-president of Guardian Pharmacy of Dallas-Fort Worth. “The additional space and improved office layout and design offers our team members a more comfortable work environment and enhances operational efficiency that enables our staff to help our customers deliver the highest quality of care to residents.”
The facility will also house the latest technology, an USP <800> compliant cleanroom, and a training center that provides in-service and nursing instruction courses for pharmacy employees, as well as community staff members.
