Khristy McClelland, Guardian Pharmacy of Jacksonville President, was featured in an October 2012 article in McKnight’s Long Term Care News. Khristy highlighted the role of Guardian Consultant Pharmacists, specifically in the administration of antipsychotic drugs in long-term care facilities.
“We provide good assessments, so if a person’s mental status changes, we can help determine if a recent drug that was added could be causing them to act out, or explore whether an underlying illness, such as a urinary tract infection or depression, could be causing the altered mental state.”
