1,000%-Plus Business Growth Spurs Right Dose Pharmacy of Cedar Rapids’ Move to New Headquarters
Larger Facility Helps Long-Term Care Pharmacy Better Serve Residents in Eastern Iowa
After experiencing a 1,250 percent growth in business in less than four years, Right Dose Pharmacy of Cedar Rapids, a Guardian Pharmacy partner, recently relocated its headquarters to a larger facility in northeast Cedar Rapids. The state-of-the-art, 13,000-square foot building, almost two-and-a-half times the size of the former location, allows the long-term care (LTC) pharmacy to increase its operations to better serve residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, independent living; individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and provide at-home patient care throughout Eastern Iowa.
The pharmacy, which opened in 2017, anticipates the client growth to continue and plans to hire additional employees by the end of this year.
“As a locally-owned pharmacy, delivering the highest quality resident care is personal for our team. It’s why we invested in a facility that not only supports our current and future growth but expands our technology capabilities and services,” said Rockford Anderson, president of Right Dose Pharmacy, which has another location in Ankeny, Iowa. “With our new pharmacy, we can enhance our medication packaging system and increase our IV and durable medical equipment services, among other benefits, to meet the needs of the Eastern Iowa LTC community.”
The advanced technology allows Right Dose Pharmacy of Cedar Rapids to offer medication packaging which separates dosages down to the day and hour, ensuring residents receive the right medications at the right time.
Right Dose Pharmacy is part of the Guardian Pharmacy Services family, one of the nation’s largest LTC pharmacy companies, which has 38 locations serving 26 states. Guardian’s pharmacies provide outstanding client service and resident care to long-term care communities, including assisted living and skilled nursing, and to organizations that serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
