100% Business Growth Spurs Guardian Pharmacy of Southwest Florida’s Move to New Headquarters
Larger Punta Gorda Facility Helps Long-Term Care Pharmacy Better Serve Residents and Increase Workforce
After doubling its business in the past five years, Guardian Pharmacy of Southwest Florida recently announced the relocation of its headquarters to a new state-of-the-art, 10,000-square foot building in Punta Gorda.
The new pharmacy, which is approximately double the size of Guardian’s former location, allows the long-term care (LTC) pharmacy to increase its workforce and operations to better serve residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, independent living; individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and provide at-home patient care across the region from Sarasota to Fort Myers.
“Our new facility provides the space necessary to accommodate our growing workforce and client base and gives us the capacity to house the latest technology,” said Mike Klein, president of Guardian Pharmacy of Southwest Florida. “This location, although only 10 miles north of our former site, provides us greater accessibility to our customers and puts us in the best position to offer solutions and services that help them deliver the highest quality of resident care.”
With the relocation, Guardian anticipates expanding the number of employees by nearly 10 percent this year. The pharmacy also has heavily invested in additional technology like the new TCGRX compliance strip packaging system which increases accuracy, accountability and simplifies the distribution of medications to residents.
Established in 2014, Guardian Pharmacy of Southwest Florida is part of Guardian Pharmacy Services, one of the nation’s largest LTC pharmacy companies. With six additional locations in Florida (Daytona, Jacksonville, Northwest Florida, Orlando, Southeast Florida and Tampa), Guardian Pharmacy Services provides statewide coverage to LTC communities across the state.
