Guardian Pharmacy Services Acquires Senior Care Pharmacy in Wichita, Kansas
Guardian Pharmacy Services has expanded its footprint in the Midwest with the acquisition of Senior Care Pharmacy in Wichita, Kansas. This marks Guardian’s second location in the state, alongside its existing pharmacy in Kansas City.
Senior Care Pharmacy currently serves long-term care communities across south central and southwest Kansas, including assisted living, skilled nursing, and behavioral health communities, as well as individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With this acquisition, Guardian strengthens its ability to deliver high-quality, locally focused pharmacy care to residents across the region.
Founded in 2003, Senior Care Pharmacy has been a trusted part of the Wichita community for over two decades. The pharmacy will continue to operate under the Senior Care Pharmacy name with its current leadership and staff. Michael Counts, pharmacist and president of Guardian’s Kansas City pharmacy, will also lead the Wichita operation, supporting collaboration across both locations.
“This acquisition marks another important milestone in our growth strategy and reflects the success Michael Counts and his team have achieved in the Midwest,” said Fred Burke, president and CEO of Guardian Pharmacy Services.
